Rural and Remote Higher Degree Research 2026 Webinar Series - Abstract Call Out

Starts: 11-02-2026
Location: Online Opportunity

Description:

The ACN Rural and Remote Nursing Faculty is very excited about the growing numbers of Australian nurses enrolled in  higher degrees. There is some excellent research about rural and remote health being undertaken, and we would like to provide an opportunity for you to present your findings. Improving the quality of health care delivered, and in turn the health care outcomes of individuals and communities is reliant on high quality evidence for practice. We would like to help share the good news about evidence that could translate to practice.

In 2026, the Rural and Remote Faculty will invite six higher degree candidates to present a 40-minute webinar. This will consist of a 30-minute presentation, and a 10-minute interactive Q&A session with the audience. The webinars will be offered every 6-8 weeks from late February.

If you are currently enrolled in a higher degree investigating rural and remote health and would like the opportunity to present your findings to a national audience then we would love to receive an abstract from you.  Successful applicants will be selected by the Rural and Remote Nursing Faculty Leadership Team.
