Chair - Victoria-Geelong Region

Starts: 13-09-2023
Location: Online Opportunity

Regions provide unique networking opportunities for members to connect with their peers and to keep them actively involved in State, Territory, and local professional issues. They also provide an environment for ACN members to progress their own professional development.

Region Chairs often work with State/Territory Chairs to organise activities (face to face and online) to align with ACN State/Territory goals. Members are initially assigned to their local State, Territory or Region based on their residential address and postcode.

The ACN Leadership Teams are established to lead the engagement of their Regions to connect DLFs, Fellows, Alumni and Members.

Each Region Leadership Team has a Chair and a Deputy Chair position, whose primary objectives are to represent ACN regarding regional or state/territory policy, decision making and member advocacy. They do this by involving and collaborating with their Region/State or Territory members.

Their secondary roles are to support their region members with career progression and professional development, fostering a sense of belonging and membership loyalty, as well as strengthening the relationship between members of the Region and ACN.

To support these 2 positions the team also consists of 2 x Leadership Support Positions who work alongside the chairs to achieve their priorities and strategies.

The Victoria-Geelong Region is currently seeking a motivated person to join their leadership team in the role of Chair.

It is estimated that this role will require 3-6 hours per week dedicated to leading the Region.
